Windows 8 or Windows ME Two

Why should I buy Windows 8, when ever Microsoft come up with a new OS, it's a bata., another Windows ME.

    It's new so it must be better than what came before it.

    But as whatever eventually replaces 7 will be a development of 7 it's likely to be better than 7 just as 7 was better than what it replaced Vista, which was the code base 7 was developed from.

    And certainly, MS has a penchant for releasing lame OS. 7 was not bad when it was released, though. XP was OK after SP2, but MS will be releasing a new OS every two years if they stick to their schedule. So if you don't like the OS, wait two years or until an SP fixes the problems you see in the current OS.

    In the long run, if you want to use Windows with current applications, you'll eventually need to get a new version of Windows. And if you buy a new computer, you'll get the current version of Windows whether you want it or not.

    ...as Windows Vista took that title already. Windows 8 is the Windows ME 3. I recommend sticking with Windows 7 for now.
