Is this a Manufactured or Recorded Disc? Is this Disc a M$ Branded Install Disc or a System Makers Recovery Disc? However generally speaking Windows Installer Hanging up being unable to locate Files is a sign of Timing Issues with RAM which only affects the Install Procedure not the actual running of the system once you get Windows Installed. Have you tried coping the Install Disc to a USB Thumb Drive and installing it that way? We've all been caught out by a dirty Disc and most of us more than once so we now know to check everything and then recheck. OH and BTW I wasn't implying that you had a Pirate Disc just that many current generation computers require you to Burn a Recovery Set which may be useless if not stored correctly and in Business many of us use Burnt Disc's as the cost of replacing an Original is quite high and they are easily lost damaged so we burn a Install Disc and keep the Original Safe till we need to burn another copy. With Volume License Product we get 1 Install Disc per program and these can be licensed to several thousand systems.
