Apparently he was armed with a White Cane and was way too dangerous to do anything but disarm and kill.

Have to wonder what those officers where told to consider a blind guy with a White Cane a perp caring some sort of sword where you have to shoot first and ask questions latter. But it very much points to them being led to believe that they where in such a dangerous situation that they where required to do something like that and completely fail to recognize what is a Universally Understood device used by blind people.

I suppose on the upside the blind guy never saw it coming. :^0

I just found it funny that a Blind Guy with a White cane would be considered as some kind of threat. Like what was he going to do walk into you without seeing you?

However I should point out that using a Taser on that guy is so much worse, the Plod in question must have been really close to him before deploying the Taser and still couldn't tell the difference between a White Cane and a Sword. [/shakes head and walks away]

Now I have to wonder what the Plod saw coming I would hazard a guess Not Much.

RCMP tasered a guy at Van airport a few years back, a visitor from Polcand who they claim was not responding to questioning, though video shows otherwise. He was clearly aggravated and the language barrier has since been proven where he was frustrated and unsure of what was going on. He'd been in the airport for hours and was permitted to enter Canada, then he was confused and stuck in airport purgatory trying to figure out how to proceed. He was too threatening with his tea table though!
He died on the spot and the piggers are all in court now, spewing more lies about why they lied to begin with. Defending perjury accusations because they all lied about what happened, which was proven on video, and all their lies were exactly the same.

4 RCMP with hand to hand combat training and years of service training found him threatening, and even when tasered all four pile don top of him making it impossible for him to recover from the multiple tasers.

When they realized they had killed him, they didn't make the efforts to revive him either.

Top top it all off, an off duty RCMP officer had a collision with a motorcycle and killed the rider. The RCMP member was later found to be drinking and driving. He was one of the four cops in the following video. So technically he's go TWO murders on his hands now.

Given that people have been making concealed swords in canes for a couple hundred years, it's not a big jump to concealing one in a white cane.

In 1859, Irish Physicist John Tyndall published the first details of the ability of CO2 to absorb infra-red radiation. Swedish scientist, Svante Arrhenius, was the first scientist to calculate the size of the greenhouse effect caused by man-made CO2 in 1896. Milutin Milankovi?, an all-round smart git of a Serb, worked out the effects of the solar cycles in 1932 thus allowing Arrhenius's work to be expanded upon and modelled.

Are you aware that if one of your citizens falls ill and the doctor wishes to check whether that illness is attributable to one of the constituents of the cocktail of chemicals in the fracking liquid, the doctor can ask to see the composition of the cocktail used in the area.

However, the doctor must sign a gagging order so that, even if the patient's problems can be proven to be directly caused by the fracking liquid leaching into the ground water that doctor can tell neither the patient nor any other physician about it!

So, nobody knows how ground water is being affected because nobody is allowed to know because nobody knows what is going into the ground so nobody can tell if it's coming out again.

I wish you joy of it. I think you are in for some nasty surprises. And you won't even know who to blame. There are exceptions in the Safe Drinking Water Act and a good chunk of your environmental laws for oil and gas firms. How dumb are you all?

Except for foreign oil companies, of course...

We, at least, have a government order that forces the companies doing fracking trials to release details of the composition of the fracking liquids used so that it can be monitored and they can be made to clean it up.

That's one of the best segue's I've seen you come up with. It's not just the UK though, it seems all countries BUT the USA, where politics skew science, are on board.

I know science is irrelevant in the face of politics though. As soon as something becomes politically aligned, one side support it one side opposes it, regardless of source, facts, sense or anything else. It either must be strictly supported or opposed, which is another reason the US is so far behind the rest of the world on so many fronts.
