Threads disappearing, much?

AnsuGisalas
I asked a smartphone question the other day, and now it seems to be gone...
Anyone else notice stuff disappearing? Is it a general trend, or am I on my way to transportation?

I've noticed I'm having to refresh a lot today to see new comments. I open a discussion but there's no new content until I hit F5.

Otherwise, I don't see it in the context of the thread. It does pop up a window with your post in it, but I'd like to make sure it has the right placement and there is no way to do that except to refresh.

Seems to me they have a problem with refreshing the browser. Ok, I'm running IE 7 and not 8. Do you think that makes a difference?

It was with posting a new discussion in the Watercooler. It happened twice on two different occasions. I haven't tried starting a new discussion since then, so I'm not sure if that problem still exists. Apparently so.

    But I can't find anything.

I don't know if it is the eye and mind-numbing whiteness affecting me, or if some stuff gets buried and other things don't move, or the lack of the combo post title + original post/article title anywhere, but I have a terrible time tracking.

As a result of my own pitiful efforts, I found an addition to CatchUp Cafe. I first assumed the new comment had been appended to the end of the thread. Nope. Started searching backwards. Didn't find it until the middle, thereabouts, of Page Two. It's by 2rs. It's about, "joy". It was worth finding.

Something just has to be done about finding shilt.

That's finnish, means "two barrelled thing", but is ironically equivalent to the saying "a double-edged sword"...
But that aside, I think we need both the expanded and the collapsed, side-by-side, if we're going to be able to use this thing as it is.

I know that tracking things is a big issue that they have prioritized. I'm looking forward to Brandon's update post and hoping he has at least a high level timeline for fixes.
