As the number of entrants to the project management profession continues to increase, so does the need for project guidance and open dialogue around any and all project, programme, portfolio, career, and education topics. LinkedIn as a professional networking portal is a venue for project management organizations and leaders to do just that with groups offering a means to empower, elevate, and motivate anyone interested in the profession.

The seven LinkedIn Groups I'm highlighting offer LinkedIn members a place to find and participate in project management-related discussions about exams, qualifications, education, and professions, to share ideas and experiences, or to start their own group discussion.

One thing that is mutual to all of these groups is the need for each member as project management professionals to self-govern, demonstrate, and maintain a high degree of professionalism, respect, and support towards all members in posts and discussions. Each of these project management groups has its own value proposition and its own established guidelines for admission and postings within the group. Check them out. (Note: The members counts are current as of article publication.)
