I just retired. I worked for the state of Ohio since 1979. I was one of those "You're showing an interest so you got the job" guys when we first got PC's here at in the early 80s. So I've sort of grown with it. I got into programming first. Dbase 3 was my tool of choice back then. Took classes when I had to but no college or anything. We got our first network in 1993. a 386-25 Banyan Vines File server. We patched wires through the old phone system, and each county had one computer that dialed in on a schedule to update data. I had to change this since we just migrated to AD. Lots to learn and lots to mess up :)
