I am not a tech by profession; I study Linguistics and various languages, and work as a freelance translator and language trainer. However, the work I do is done with computers, and I grew up on them too. Being a translator, I earn my bread by understanding things in one language and producing equivalent content in a different language. I depend on understanding what I translate, and since much work is in translating technical writings for end-users, I have to keep informed.
