Michael Franklin of MCNM Marketing came to PhilippineTimes of Southern Nevada and Las Vegas Professional Institute of Technology & Accounting ( LV-PITA) after nearly twenty years of service to the Las Vegas Job Market. After working and excelling quickly from his hard work, ability to learn fast and improve upon such great companies as Bally Technologies, Nevada Installation Services, and Xtreme Manufacturing. He began to enter full time into the field of technology as a web developer and public relations consultant. Receiving 4 Adobe Certifications in Graphic Design and sharing his ability to connect online and offline with the owners of corporations in the Las Vegas area, LV-PITA chose to offer a position of Social Media Mentor for those who have challenges with connecting online. Altruistically he took on the challenge of training people to effectively share information which will increase their hireability. His professional career outside of academia includes blogging for the Equal Rights For Fathers, managing online marketing campaigns for various growing and many established companies and organizations in Las Vegas. He is active in a variety of civic and cultural organizations including Prayer Center Revival Church, Unashamed Inner.Tame.Nt, Da Church. Description: Graphic Designer Graphic Designer Job Purpose: Prepares visual presentations by designing art and copy layouts. Graphic Designer Job Duties: Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering information and materials. Plans concept by studying information and materials. Illustrates concept by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts. Obtains approval of concept by submitting rough layout for approval. Prepares finished copy and art by operating typesetting, printing, and similar equipment; purchasing from vendors. Prepares final layout by marking and pasting up finished copy and art. Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment. Completes projects by coordinating with outside agencies, art services, printers, etc. Maintains technical knowledge by attending design workshops; reviewing professional publications; participating in professional societies. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
