Android strategy on display in Oracle v. Google showdown (images)

SAN FRANCISCO--At U.S. Federal Court here this week, where Google is defending itself against allegations it used Oracle's Java technology without license to develop its Android mobile software, Google displayed growth statistic and adoption rates showing Android's momentum over the past two years. It's now activating more than 160,000 devices a day.

Key metrics outline Android's revenue growth and ad strategy, as well as projections for the music business growth and the roadmap going forward.

According to court documents, Google's Android strategy is currently focused on extending the core business, and is moving into what is designated in the charts as "Phase 3: New Monetizable Services."
