Recently I saw a House Hunters in Chandler Arizona on HGTV. An Indian family was looking for McMansions. He was the Director of IT for a "Chandler Area Technology Company".

I'm not buying that Vishkrishna was the only qualified worker for this position that Intel could find in or willing to rellocate to Chandler Arizona. (Or that ANY OTHER Chandler Area Technology Company was importing an H1B Visa employee from India to be the Director of Information Technology, either).

Intel is selling the American dream to any Indian that is willing to work for below market value.

As for a focus on testing scores, Intel is still regurgitating their same tired excuses for outsourcing to India while also seeking to raise the cap on H1B visas. The truth is that there are abundant skilled IT workers in California, but Intel is not interested in expanding their California operations for design, development and Information Technology because the cost of doing business there is too high. After the dot.com shakeup, anyone who would buy that this is because of a lack of skilled domestic workers is smoking crack.

I'd have a lot more respect for Intel if they would just be honest about this and stop trying to blame it on a lack of domestic workers skilled in scientific and technological fields.
