Costume contestants from Anime Central strut their stuff

This is Jill Valentine - but who are the rest?

One of the main reasons people attend anime conventions is for the opportunity to dress like their favorite characters. This gallery shows just a few of the costumed attendees at the recent Anime Central convention in Rosemont, Illinois. Kudos go to the FansView Web site for providing the photos.

Now, I am not an Anime aficionado by any stretch, so I don't recognize but a few of these costumes. But I know some of you are well-versed in all things Anime. As you flip through the images, help us identify the characters. Drop a note in the discussion thread to the gallery and tell us who is being represented in the photos and perhaps critique the quality of the costumes.

I am no expert, but it appears to me that some attendees did not put much effort into their costumes at all, while some must have spent weeks perfecting their costumes. What do you think?
