Cracking open a BenQ TFT monitor

Before the carnage!

TechRepublic member James Morgan recently took apart his 17" BenQ FP767-12 TFT monitor to see what was inside. In the process, he fixed the buttons on the front of the monitor. With his permission, we are republishing his photos and captions of the process.

This cracking open gallery is also featured in TechRepublic's Geekend blog.

What was needed and done to fix the buttons?

To be honest I don't really know, I wasn't trying to fix it, just look inside. I am assuming something had come loose and I had put it back when I reassembled it.
