I have owned and used for buisnes and personal use for the past 2 years a Laserjet 1320. I have no problems to speak with the printer other than losing the printer driver twice on my Windows XP syatem. The only complaint is with the design of the printer's paper tray. Why does HP continue to sell its 1300 series computers with undersized printer trays. If HP is smart the next time they come out with low end price entry level Laserprinter they will up the size of the tray such that it will hold a "FULL 500 SHEETS OF PAPER"

If you want to do more you should by the more expensive unit which is cheaper per page to print with. Basically the 1300 was never designed to be a High Volume Printer so it doesn't have the Paper Handling or Toner Storage Capacity that a High Volume Printer would have. The Drum also has a shorter life. Also to keep the cost of the unit down the Paper Storage Drawers are smaller as they cost less to make. If you want bigger things you should buy the right printer for your needs and one designed to do heaver work. These have more storage for Paper and Toner to do more copies per refill at a cheaper per page cost. I have a fairly decent Printer device here which has a 6,000 Sheet Bulk Feeder Bin and it also prints at 35 PPM in Monochrome. The overall cost for B&W Prints is around 1/3 of a cent per page + the paper. Units designed to do less work cost more per page to print with. Col

the 1320 line is a lower cost line. Also, look at the total monthly printing ability. It is not meant to be a full fledged workhorse of a printer, it is meant for small workgroups. Look to a larger model that will handle the full ream of paper. Those are designed for med or large size workgroups. However, this is only an explanation as I see it. Personally, I think that there should at least be an add-in tray (optional) that can hold 500 pages. I have some 1300's sitting as personal printers, and they work fine. I have 4350's for workgroup printers, the 500 sheet and up to 20,000 monthly pages works just fine. On busier ones, we have a 1500 sheet (3 ream) tray as well, but most only have a 2nd 500 sheet. For workhorses we have the 9000 series.
