You forgot step. There are two parts to back plate! Power &volume are separate. The plastic u see is mounting plate & back cover is separate. I found this the hard way today when my 60 year old mother accident my pried off the whole thing from the HP logo plastic today.
you should not do that you could scratch the LCD and then when you put it back together it'll look like your screen is smashed where you scratched it.

I have a question. I got my touchpad but i live outside the us and i have no access to paid apps. I agree with you about supporting developers, but cant because of that hp policy? So, is there anyway that i can access to paid apps,??? and buy them, even when the touchpad detects my location and the app cayalog wont let me see any paid app??? I would appreciate any help. imarion@BTscene

the hp touch pad uses a sandisk 16 or 32 gb inand chip for memory, correct? Could a 32 gb be used in a 16 gb slot? Could one use a 64 gb inand chip in a touch pad?

While the TouchPad's software is beautiful and intuitive, overall the tablet is more of a "meh-sterpiece" than a masterpiece. Mike Jain - Asst. Sales Manager http://hamarahost.com
Looks like HP have adapability plans with all the 'bits' inside being changeable. If they can control the mfg cost to compete with iPad and if WebOS flies, this could be good for HP and create some stiff competition in the touchpad market.
