Cracking Open HTC One X: Bottom
Bill Detwiler has nothing to disclose. He doesn't hold investments in the technology companies he covers.
Bill Detwiler is Managing Editor of TechRepublic and Tech Pro Research and the host of Cracking Open, CNET and TechRepublic's popular online show. Prior to joining TechRepublic in 2000, Bill was an IT manager, database administrator, and desktop support specialist in the social research and energy industries. Heres a great teardown video that goes all the way through the steps to completely disassemble it and replaced the integrated screen. It's pretty long, but its thorough! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H5TRf0REyMM
Only the global versions have the quad core processor. The LTE version has a dual core processor. Please see: http://www.htc.com/www/smartphones/htc-one-x/#specs @ Bill Detwiler I hate having to click 64 times to get the review of a teardown. I understand that it generates a significant amount of ad revenue, but it is inconvenient and at times irritating. I know I am not the only one to complain about the current format Techrepublic is using as I have seen similar comments on a number of Techrepublics reviews and teardowns. Can you please talk to the powers that be an see if there is something that can be done?
Trust me, I share your pain. For years, I and other TechRepublic editors have lobbied for a new gallery player that wouldn't require a complete page refresh to load each new photo. This would also allow us to embed the gallery into a related article. Hopefully, we'll get this soon.
