Labels on the graphs would be nice, so I can tell what I'm looking at and what 'they' consider to be important metrics

Nothing surprising there, the Firefox team have done a top flight job with this browser.

is it because opera is too much of an opponent?

X-axis label: "Longer bars are better". Clearly. I guess that's all we need to know.

WTF do these metrics actually mean?

No, no problems with FF3 crashing. I've found it to be more stable (and less of a RAM/CPU hog) than FF2. Check the addons you are using (I keep mine pretty much to a minimum. Try running it in 'safe mode' and see if that helps, if so then enable addons one at a time until the problem reoccurs then you know the culprit! Also check you have the latest plugins (such as Sun Java etc).

Yip. Opera is after all the fastest browser on the planet.
