The Nokia N80ie is an upgrade in the software of the N80 slider S60 smartphone. Integrated WiFi with VoIP support is a major feature of this compact multimedia computer with high resolution display.

The closed device is quite small and pocketable
The N80ie fits easily in your hand.
The top display slides up to reveal the keypad.
Even when extended the N80ie fits well in your hand.
The buttons are flat, but at least they are decently sized.
These buttons are below the main display and used when the slider is closed.
There are 7 buttons and a directional pad under the display.
The mic, pop-port, charging port and lanyard openings are lined up on the bottom of the device.
The N73 keys are still even smaller than the N80ie.
The camera button is found on the right side and when in camera mode the shutter button is on the top right since the display switches orientation.
The top is slid up and you can see the miniSD card cover on the bottom half.
The back of the top is slid up and you can see the two slider rails along with the indented power button.
The camera is centered in the upper 1/3 of the back.
The camera has a physical slider for macro and standard modes. A flash light is also located next to the camera lens.
The battery cover slides up and down just a bit and should be tightened up.
The N80ie has a high resolution display for outstanding readability.
There is a VGA camera facing the user for video calling on 3G networks outside the U.S.
The display is smaller than most Nseries devices, but the high resolution looks outstanding on the device.
The colors and fonts look great.
You can see the size difference between the two displays.
The N80ie is longer than the N73 when the slider is open.
