Office 2013: What's in and what's out

By Best STL

Office 2013 What's In and What's Out has produced an infographic describing which features have been added to Microsoft Office 2013 and which features have been removed. Office 365 and Office 2013 differ from previous versions of the productivity suite in many ways. I highly recommend you take some time to acquaint yourself with the latest version of Office.

Not necessary in our office, we are ccurrently using a mix of Office 2007/10 PRO, and Libre Office, also we have google Docs and use it where we require outside use of documents. Due to the removal of features and he fact it is now a subscription licence and more cloud based which we dont require, as google docs is all we need. Along with the unproductive Windows 8, Microsoft have just become redundant in our office.

I agree with isadc - 2013 is hard on the eyes I also went back to 2010 version within 10 minutes 10 minutes after that I began a rethink on what and how we use Office for in our organisation, and began to realise LibreOffice and Ubuntu are reliable alternatives. Have moved one third of our users to ubuntu already!

I'm sure the funcionality and usability has been improved, but the user interface is an eyesore. The two-tone approach really hurts my eyes. I couldn't stand it and went back to Office 2010 in 10 minutes.
