Hi Thats a nice looking opening up tool where can I get one please. I have made my own before but that looks a good one, Carry on the good work I like these strip downs
Since this is a Sprint version of the Tab, it doesn't have a SIM slot. I'm very interested in finding out if there's a SIM reader inside, so that I potentially could open the Tab to instert SIM card, and install new firmware/unlock. Could I then use it with any carrier - and abroad?
So, I'm curious. My EVO has an 8mp camera, which I LOVE. I didn't think it would be that big of a deal but for me it turns out it has been a huge plus! Looking at this camera and how easy it is to remove, how difficult would it be to simply replace this 3.2mp camera with a higher resolution camera? This being a Linux OS, does anyone know off hand if the kernel uses the UVC driver? If so, I don't think replacing the camera would be a problem from the OS level but perhaps it would be one at the hardware level?
after looking at the hardware brake down. the major diferance it the samsung processor. if you can buy simular tablets sub ?100 what justifies the prce bracket for this tablet. android os is open source so there is no paying for a heafty os like windows or the mac os on the ipad. thinking of buying one and have read 10 tens ect. so is this a good compeditor for ipad or has it just got a over priced price tag to make you think its good.
I think you're misunderstanding what this device is. It's not a tablet like the iPad. It's a cell phone.
When did the iPad become a tablet? I've got an HP42oo tablet. A PC with touchscreen, drawing and writing via a pointed pen. A pen you can see the end of and write/draw accurately as opposed to the fat crayon/tampon item for capacitive touchscreens. And I can use it for normal apps (it's actually my jukebox 95% of the time to be be honest). When did any of the new devices absorb the tablet mantle? Sounds to me like we should have a separate sector for them. 'Pads' does me... ps They're all looking great, and apps are great... but still not a tablet urely.
