I tried following your instructions and it went great with the Windows 8 release preview. So I thought I could do the same thing with the 90 day evaluation of the enterprise edition. But when I try to select vdisk in the diskpart environment, it says the path is not found. I'm running a 64-bit Windows 7 Pro on my HP Pavilion Laptop.
...the 90 day evaluation of the enterprise edition in a VHD dual boot configuration and it worked fine. So, I'd say that you should review the article and try it again.
...the answer is yes, you just delete the VHD and then remove the boot menu. Stay tuned for this week's article in which I walk you step-by-step through the entire procedure.
The path I tried to use for the .vhd file was wrong. My C Drive is actually listed (list volume) as D drive. Thanks Greg.
