Many services can run in a single process
I would be looking for your recommendations on taming and tweaking. And, warnings and consequences if certain actions are taken. Sometimes it's better to leave well enough alone. Perhaps Father Knows Best......
Well, gosh -- that was pointless. I know HOW to start and stop processes and services -- I want to know WHICH ones I should stop or disable and why. For instance, is SuperFetch a bad service? Why would a service meant to maintain and improve system performance over time be bad? If I disable it what other services take up its duties? Will disabling it come back and bite me in the ass two months down the road in the form of ... I don't know. That's the problem! I DON'T KNOW. Do you? Until someone in the know explains exactly what a running service is doing and why I don't need it to do what it is doing, I would tend to leave it alone to do its thing, especially in a new OS I'm unfamiliar with.
Pictures are nice but... They waste my time, just because I am in IT doesn't mean I can't read, which I do more rapidly than clicking through, PICTURES and I have a reference when I am done that I don't have to cut and paste into a document to save the information. DON'T KEEP WASTING MY TIME!
