TechRepublic's camera phone challenge: Change of seasons

Fly fishing for Salmon and Trout

We challenged the TechRepublic community to submit their camera phone photos that show the seasons changing. The photo we selected for 1st place was taken by TR member HRM2000 with an iPhone 3G of people fly fishing for Salmon and Trout in a river in upstate New York.

:) I hope you don't weight quality of the pic too highly, since some of us have less-than-par camera resolutions! Although the 755 takes pics in 1280 x 1024 it is only 1.8 megapixels. Ewwww! I can't wait til I can upgrade to a better one than that! Love the second pic. It is so clear and "glassy" that it looks professional! :D

First, for HRM2000: Which river? That looks very familiar to me... Second, for Tink!: How you do dat? I've got a 755 and all I can get is blur!

:D Seeing as how most of my cameraphone pics are whilst driving in my car, you'd think I'd have an explanation for you, but I don't really. A lot of my pics are through my side window at the horizon to my side or in front. With these you can often see that the road and shoulder are are blurred from movement but the horizon stays steady. As for front pics. I hold it as close to the windshield as possible, allow a few seconds for the Auto Adjust to take effect and then snap. Be sure to stay as steady as possible for a second after snapping to allow the camera time to fully capture the image.

I'm usually in a hurry, so I'll snap, then pull it back. The problem I usually have, is trying to find a spot on the windshield that doesn't have a bug on it...or won't pick one up while I'm taking the picture! Splat-click. Ewww! :-&

Some of the photos were very good. The English used to describe the initiative was rather poor. Surely you mean you invited the Tech Republic community to submit their phone camera photos that show the seasons changing. I am 72 years old, a Scot and I still prefer when words were used to state the real meaning and grammar was a recognisable aspect of a sentence. You stated it thus: We challenged the TechRepublic community to submit their camera phone photos that show the seasons changing. Just a little point but the English are murdering their own language with their silly ?Cockney slang? ? ?Liverpool drawl? and poor diction; example ?O wite? for ?All right!?
