I wonder if Android on here (once rooted of course) would be able to run PDF's well enough to allow unlocks of the DRM's on them. I have textbooks I want to read on such a device, and the device has to handshake with the PDF "owner(s)" to do an unlock with my UN/PW combo. Ideas??
why would you put the thumbnails between the full size and the text. after 3 screens I gave up on the scrolling up and down. your web designer deserves to be fired!
On some products the cliche "you get what you pay for" may still apply but for devices that are used for some type of computing the rules have changed. You need to figure out the lowest common denominator of a device to fit your needs and then figure out if it is really necessary to spend more for a better device. I have a tablet pc (14 in screen windows xp) and that can perform on a variety of applications. It was more expensive than the iPad. The iPad is nice but I would need the Boot Camp or Parallels software to run some of these apps that were made for Windows. I was reading about the Sanyo Tablet prior to Black Friday and when I went to the local Kmart, they only offered the Coby model. With the receipt, I had until February 2011 to return it. I couldn't get to the AppsLib until after the new year but it was worth the wait. Yes there are problems but there were problems with DOS,Windows 3.11, Windows 95, Linux, Mac. The tablet market still isn't defined and we may find in the end there maybe more than one niche.
I like that this doesn't try to imitate an iPad! Too often these "me too" tablets take their physical appearance from the Apple iPad...the same curves and that stupid home button! gawd that is annoying! That stupid square...who's home is a square anyway! This button has more style and more panache! Yay Coby
I wonder if Best Buy or future shop will have one. Do you have instructions on how to unlock this thing?
Start here: http://tipstir.the-talk.net/f1-coby-kyros-tablet-s http://www.xda-developers.com/ also has a lot of resources. It is on sale for $139 right now - there is a link somewhere on the first site linked above. Don't pay more than $139 for this thing. If you can get it cheaper, that would be even better. :)
The Coby Kryos instructions for finding your MAC are perhaps wrong. I've tried to find it on my own but haven't had any luck. I was wondering if you had found it. I bought it on your recommendation but that doesn't obligate you to solve my problems, but let me say that you are right; it is a great tablet for the price. I bought it from Walmart.com and brought it with me on my trip. I love it. Thanks, Kit Carson Kandahar, Afghanistan
