The Frisian island of Sylt off the coast of northern Germany is famous for its healthy climate, and for the many German celebrities who own houses there. Previously, jobs were located all over the island; now the 150-strong administrative teams of the City of Westerland and Sylt's Land Office have been combined. The historic Town Hall in Westerland is the administrative centre, and an adjacent Fire Department building will be demolished and replaced by a new building. Thus, three communities in different locations with approximately 150 employees and about 500 network devices had to be combined into a centralised administration. These conditions caused puzzled faces. The company brought on board network specialists Comnet, who have long experience of designing and implementing 3Com networks.
