Greater Manchester Probation Area wanted to generate timely intelligence to support key activities, such as workload balancing, equal opportunities, and Human Resources (HR) planning and track the cost of absence by job, location, or department. The challenge was to identify reasons for illness to help reduce average sick leave to nine days per person per year, in line with government targets. Greater Manchester Probation Area implemented Oracle Business Intelligence (BI) Standard Edition One to augment the analysis and reporting capabilities of Oracle Human Resources with probation service-specific functionality.
