After a decade of rapid growth, it was becoming an increasing challenge for Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings to adapt its operations to the dynamism and variability that are endemic to the air freight business. Atlas needed to become more agile by making its business processes more flexible. Atlas worked with IBM to create an architecture that provides a foundation for Atlas to redesign and optimize its processes by mapping business functions to IT services.
