Bank Zachodni WBK S.A. wanted to implement an IT systems architecture compliant with the Service-Oriented-Architecture (SOA) standard to achieve a homogenous integration environment and provide online access from CRM and other front-end systems to functionalities locked away in critical banking systems, such as core banking, customer information, and credit cards. The challenge was to ensure high availability and scalability for systems that process high volumes of data in a short period of time, such as card authorization data. Bank Zachodni WBK S.A. deployed an SOA infrastructure built on Oracle Service Bus as the central service access point, and Oracle Tuxedo as the transactional processing platform, achieving integration across all IT systems and better alignment with bank processes.
