Blue Cross Blue Shield wanted to enhance productivity across the company's human resources functions, supporting the need for greater operational efficiency in the cost-conscious health insurance sector and consolidate segmented time-and-labor processes onto a single integrated system to extend visibility and streamline reporting. The challenge was to facilitate compliance with U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission reporting requirement. Blue Cross Blue Shield implemented Oracle's PeopleSoft Enterprise Human Capital Management On Demand to increase efficiency and cut processing time across HR processes as well as enabled online payroll statements, saving postage and paper costs, and improving employee convenience.
