Continued "Server sprawl" at Central Bible College presented issues with respect to systems administration, power and cooling, physical space, and reliability. The college solved the problems by using the Windows Server 2008 R2 operating system with Hyper-V virtualization technology and Microsoft System Center Virtual Machine Manager 2008 R2. A move to virtualization has yielded many benefits, including increased uptime and reliability, faster deployment of new solutions, increased IT staff efficiency, reduced power and cooling needs, and lower costs.
