Executive Summary

Sporton International, the largest certification company in Taiwan, services global manufacturers of mobile phones, integrated circuits, chips, and wireless radio frequency devices. The company wanted to deploy the Windows 7 operating system to all of its 500 computers but was delayed by compatibility issues that prevented older applications from working with Windows 7. Sporton considered using the Windows XP Mode feature in Windows 7 but realized that it needed a more enterprise-oriented solution that would enable centralized management of virtual images. By using Microsoft Enterprise Desktop Virtualization, Sporton accelerated deployment of Windows 7, enabled applications that are designed for Windows XP to run on Windows 7, and simplified management of older applications.
