Prior to 2007, each ChangAn Auto subsidiary used a separate system to manage human resources functions such as recruitment, performance evaluation, and payroll. This made it almost impossible for head office managers to obtain an accurate picture of HR activities across the group. As HR costs escalated, ChangAn Auto decided to standardize on a single HR management platform. The company turned to Oracle for a solution. ChangAn Auto had earlier developed an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system using a range of Oracle E-Business Suite products, and choosing an HR solution from the same vendor would ensure seamless integration with the existing Oracle platform. With the help of Oracle Partner Chongqing Helpgo Information Technology, ChangAn Auto designed and implemented a new Oracle HR management system.
