City Attracts Visitors with Free Outdoor Wi-Fi

The Adelaide city center is the vibrant cultural hub of Adelaide, the capital city of South Australia. Spanning 15.5 square kilometers, the area comprises stores, restaurants, parklands, and city squares. Their challenges are they need stimulate local economy by attracting people to city center businesses, lower connectivity costs for mobile government employees and improve government efficiency by taking advantage of \"Internet of everything\". They chose Cisco to overcome these challenges. They engaged iiNet to build Wi-Fi infrastructure based on Cisco wireless solutions. The results of implementing the Cisco were increased city center's appeal by offering free, fast Wi-Fi, increased efficiency of council employees who work outdoors and met time schedule and minimized costs by automating configuration of wireless access points.
