Executive Summary

City of St. Petersburg wanted to eliminate error-prone paper processes with self-service ordering, while improving productivity and control and streamline data requisition process to enable more accurate reporting and analysis. The challenge was to centralize the city's purchasing structure to enable it to leverage its buying power to improve citizen services. City of St. Petersburg reengineered the City of St. Petersburg's procurement processes and implemented a centralized system, based on Oracle Purchasing and Oracle iProcurement and reduced the requisition-to - purchase-order process from six days to less than two days.
