Safewhere is an independent software vendor that creates and sells access management and security products for organizations in all industries, as on-premises software or software as a service. To help customers manage authentication on extranets and portals, Safewhere created Safewhere identify using Windows Identity Foundation. The company's developers coded custom identity and access logic for the solution, which took six months to create. Safewhere joined a Microsoft Technology Adoption Program for Windows Identity Foundation, an extension to the Microsoft .NET Framework. The company developed a new version of its solution faster by taking advantage of the built-in support for widely used identity and security standards and formats in Windows Identity Foundation.
