The Department of Primary Industries (DPI) wanted to enable the integration of financial and payroll data for 7,000 employees across four state government bodies in more than 100 locations across Victoria and reduce inefficiencies created by multiple databases and different entry and access points for human resources information. The challenge was to facilitate the creation of comprehensive management reports based on financial, payroll, and other human resources data. DPI implemented a range of modules from Oracle E-Business Suite in 2005 and made this technology available to more than 100 locations across Victoria.
