Digicore operates in 36 countries and clients of the company include multinational companies such as mining giant BHP Billiton and the energy company Chevron. Digicore employs over 660 people in South Africa. When the company decided to upgrade its sales team's mobile phones, they wanted to provide more than just a voice communication solution. As the business grew global, they required a mobile email. Digicore therefore decided to go for BlackBerry smartphones using the BlackBerry Enterprise Server for Microsoft Exchange. They began with providing the BlackBerry solution to managers. After that, the firm deployed BlackBerry smartphones to its sales teams so that they could access email, voice, calendaring and web browsing solutions. Sales representatives of the company often use the BlackBerry Browser to access their Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system across a web services platform. With this solution, Digicore was able to undertake faster sales processes. It improved the speed of communication between the sales team and customers. The Blackberry solution also helped Digicore become a paperless business. The implementation provided an immediate return of investment along with a reduction of 15% on the phone bills.
