Douglas County wanted to streamline operations to reduce costs while delivering increased constituent service and create an enterprise architecture that will enable effective delivery of services in the midst of robust population growth. The challenge was to centralize enterprise processes despite geographically-dispersed employees. Douglas County implemented Oracle's JD Edwards EnterpriseOne applications for financial and human capital management to automate core processes and reduce operational costs as well as improved integration between various financial systems, thereby enhancing productivity by reducing redundant, manual processes, such as rekeying information.
