Erie County Leads the Way to Shared Citizen Services With SAP and IBM
In common with many other public authorities, Erie County, New York, is under constant pressure to do more with less budget dollars, and to find new ways to deliver its services at lower costs. Erie County needed to find a way to make a radical change in its approach to IT. To master these problems they deployed IBM. IBM Global Business Services and Erie County reviewed more than 600 existing management and operational processes. IBM then helped to adapt and reengineer these processes as part of the migration to the mySAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) application. IBM then implemented the software, which went live with a 'Big Bang' approach.
