Godfrey Phillips India

Headquartered in New Delhi, Godfrey Phillips India is India's second largest cigarette maker and markets a range of popular brands such as Four Square, Red and White, Jaisalmer, Cavanders and Tipper. Godfrey Phillips India wanted to cost-effectively support the quick deployment of several applications required to run the business and support rapid growth. They choose VMware to solve these challenges. They implemented VMware vSphere virtualization which enables Godfrey Phillips India to run several applications on fewer servers, increasing hardware utilization while reducing power, space and cooling costs. The results of deploying VMware were lowered the system administration resources required to manage the environment by 20 percent and cut the time required to provision a typical three-tier web application environment from three weeks to one week
