HANATOUR Delivers Quality, Seamless Service to Its Customers With a Disaster Recovery Solution From IBM Global Technology Services
HANATOUR is one of the largest travel agencies in Korea. As is common among modern travel agencies, HANATOUR relies heavily on its underlying IT infrastructure to deliver its travel planning and booking services to its customers. To ensure that it was offering consistent, reliable services to its customers (and to reassure its investors), the organization began looking for a disaster recovery solution. Turning to IBM Global Technology Services, HANATOUR signed a business continuity and resiliency services contract that covered the creation and deployment of a disaster recovery solution. The IBM team migrated the client's existing application workload to a pair of scalable IBM System p5 595 servers, which offer advanced virtualization features that can support load sharing during peak processing periods.
