Hitachi Data Systems Case Study: SEB
SEB is a major Nordic banking and finance group. They have approximately 20,000 staff and some 675 branches in more than 20 countries, mainly in Sweden, Germany and the Baltic countries. One key requirement was that two independent fibre cable connections should be established between the two computer centres based in Frankfurt and Stockholm respectively. The aim was to minimise the risk of a disruption in data traffic should one of the cables stop working. Hitachi Data Systems was selected for the task of transferring the data storage. Hitachi deployed Hitachi Freedom Lightning 9960s Hitachi TrueCopy.
