Hoover City Schools wanted to update its 6,500 client systems - a mix of desktop PCs, netbooks and mobile tablet devices - to the latest Microsoft operating system. But the district needed to be sure that the applications it depended on would work in the new environment, and that learning would be enhanced by the migration, not disrupted. Hoover City Schools upgraded Dell OptiPlex desktop PCs and Dell Latitude netbooks and tablets to Microsoft Windows 7 operating system with application compatibility testing assistance from the Dell Global Infrastructure Consulting team (ProConsult).
