Executive Summary

The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) wanted to build a modern, proactive, customer-focused organization that can manage an anticipated four-fold increase in online users by 2010 and leverage investment in Oracle's world-class technology to integrate front and back office and enhance customer service through optimized best-practices and automated processes. The challenge was to make the organization's 35-strong IT team self-sufficient in system support and development and roll out the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system globally without external expertise. IET chose Oracle Consulting to implement PeopleSoft Enterprise CRM applications; build smarter, faster processes; transfer knowledge to IT team; and create a robust, scalable foundation for modernization and expansion.
