Executive Summary

Keyang Electric Machinery has been manufacturing power tools, automotive parts, and small engines for a range of equipment since 1977. Keyang was one of the first companies in Korea to deploy an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. Over the years, the company expanded its ERP and added more systems, taking advantage of technology to streamline operations and improve competitiveness. The ERP solution implemented in 1995 was only used for its financial application, which was not integrated with other business systems. In 2008, Keyang decided to replace the old ERP system with Oracle's JD Edwards EnterpriseOne solution.
