Marvin Windows and Doors Case Study: Riverfront Centre Red Wing, Minnesota, USA
Some of the Midwest's oldest brick buildings are found on Main Street in Red Wing, Minnesota. After decades of blight, neglect, and radical alterations that obscured the structural character, the building's owner and developer, the Red Wing Shoe Company, set out to save this district. Miller-Dunwiddie Associates, architect for the rehabilitation, relied on Marvin to recreate all of the windows. Marvin's historic Magnum single-hung windows matched the original lite patterns and muntin profiles. All of the 250 custom units met federal regulations. They were delivered on time and on budget.
