The City of Stoke-on-Trent has a population of over 250,000 and covers an area of just over 36 square miles. The ceramics sector is a major source of employment for the area. Housing, an area where Metron has worked with the Council, is of strategic importance in the on-going development and regeneration of the City. New capital resources have been made available to renovate and modernize or replace unfit housing stock, whilst there are a number of development schemes under way. Stoke City Council is a long-term user of Metron's Athene software, and has also worked with the company's consultants.
