The Penza Federal Center for Cardiovascular Surgery opened in 2008 as part of the national project "Health" and is one of the medical institutions providing high-tech medical services to cardiovascular patients in Russia. Some of the best Russian specialists from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan and Krasnodar were involved in the work of the Cardio Center, as well as physicians from Penza, who received advanced training at leading Russian clinics in Moscow. About 2,800 surgeries are performed at the center for residents from 13 constituencies of the Russian Federation serving a population of 10 million people. The clinic is facing the challenge of using innovative technologies and methods of treatment.
