Executive Summary

Joyce Meyer Ministries (JMM) helps people around the world improve their lives through inspirational messages and practical outreach. With a growing global presence, JMM wanted to reduce technology costs while also giving remote offices more technology services. JMM chose the Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise operating system with Hyper-V over VMware to cost-effectively multiply remote server resources and create a disaster-recovery site. The IT staff uses Microsoft System Center Virtual Machine Manager 2008 to efficiently manage its entire physical and virtual landscape, including existing VMware virtual machines. In addition to better integrating its global offices, JMM has given remote employees consistent, reliable access to modern applications at a cost savings of U.S.$125,000. These savings can be redeployed to the ministry's core outreach and disaster assistance work.
