Multichannel Integration for Agile Banking

The customer is a rapidly growing bank in the Middle East region, headquartered in the emirate of Ras Al-Khaimah, UAE. The bank is engaged in providing retail and corporate banking services through a network of twenty seven branches in the United Arab Emirates. The Bank's existing message broker based implementation to integrate their Banking channels like IVR and Internet Banking to their host applications like Core Banking and Card System was not flexible enough and did not enable quick, non-disruptive addition of channels, services or host system upgrades. The solution was a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) based layered middleware architecture. The basic principle behind the layering was to decouple applications providing the services from the layers asking for the service.
