The ocean shipping company, Hapag-Lloyd AG, wanted to replace the printers in its worldwide offices, comprising various models from several different manufacturers, with a networked print environment from a single supplier. The highest possible cost efficiency and transparency as well as guaranteed reliability were key requirements. All workstation printers at the company's headquarters and in the global offices were standardised on three HP models. The introduction of HP Web Jetadmin software made centralised print administration feasible. Centralised procurement, independent of where the printers were to be placed, was made possible through a global master contract with HP and its partner.
